The ConVal Cougars picked up their third win of the season on the road Saturday afternoon, 47-20 over Sanborn. 

 

ConVal (3-1) continued to show great balance on offense with 6 different players scoring touchdowns..Junior QB Dan Spezzaferri led the offense in scoring, completing 20/26 passes for 279 yards and 4 TDs, while also picking up another TD on the ground and 80 yards rushing. Jimmy Stewart led all receivers with 8 catches for 90 yards and a TD.  Junior Makeen Wilson also had a great day with his first 2 career touchdowns, one rushing one receiving. 

 

Defensively the Cougars were led by JR defensive back Hunter Gullage, who posted a team high 10 tackles. Junior DT Devon Gauhgan and Sophomore LB Andrew Stockwell also had great games for the Defense, helping to shut out Sanborn over the final 30 minutes of the game. 

 

ConVal returns to action next Friday night at home against Trinity. Please bring a canned good to help support the team as they help to tackle hunger in NH with a canned food drive. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
