CoEd Varsity Cross Country vs. Multiple Opponents
The ConVal cross-country team competed at the Southern Cluster Meet at Saint Anselm's College on Tuesday afternoon. The meet pits division II schools from the southern region such as ConVal, Souhegan, Hollis-Brookline, Trinity, Milford, Manchester West, Goffstown and Windham against each other.
The boy's team finished fourth despite missing their number two runner. The boys were led by Evan Coyne who placed second in the 100 runner race with a time of 17:25. Max Boisvert took the second spot with Casey Burgess, George Shiarealla and Danny Veverka rounding out the scoring for the Cougars.
The girl's team finished second falling only to Souhegan the top-ranked team in the state. Clare Veverka took the number one slot for the team with a time of 19:47, Rachel Hurley was two ticks back. Schuyler Michalak took the teams 3rd position followed by Sarah Newell and Hailey Doherty.
The team has a break from racing over the next couple weeks and hits the trails on October 28th for the DII State Championship meet.
